Summer is upon us, and video game sales are here to accompany the sunshine and warmer weather. While a select few publishers, such as Ubisoft, got the party started with extended spring sales, other studios have waited to discount their most popular titles. Earlier this week, one of the most iconic video game studios joined the fray by announcing heavy discounts for its most prevalent franchise. The studio in question? Capcom. The discounted series? Resident Evil. Let’s dive in.

Sunshine and Blue Skys

On Monday, Capcom announced a summer franchise sale for the Resident Evil series on the Nintendo Switch. Although the company routinely discounts its products, this is the biggest Resident Evil sale that Capcom has ever announced for a Nintendo platform. While sales rules are different for each region, fans across the globe should be excited to play some of the best games in the series. Here are the details:

• Sales will run from June 1 to June 18 in Europe and from June 1 to June 16 in North America.
• Each game is discounted by at least 50 percent.
• North America has five discounted titles while Europe has seven.

Although the Nintendo Switch is not home to the most recent Resident Evil remakes, Capcom has ported most of the legacy games to the hybrid console. Listed below are the discount prices for Capcom’s summer sales bash:

• Original Resident Evil – $12.89 (57% discount)
• RE 0 – $12.89 (57% discount)
• RE 4 – $14.99 (50% discount)
• Resident Evil 5 – $14.99 (50% discount)
• RE 6 – $14.99 (50% discount)
• Revelations – $7.99 (50% discount)*
• Revelations 2 – $7.99 (60% discount)*

*Europe exclusive discount.
