For a person who thrives on controlling every detail of game development, Sakurai must have grappled with the idea of teleworking. But with the Japanese workforce on lockdown since late February, Nintendo likely pushed the esteemed director to work remotely.
As fans anxiously await for more details on the second Smash DLC Fighter Pass, it will be curious to see if Nintendo and Sora Ltd can maintain secrecy. While both companies have promised to release the next six fighters by December 2021, the only confirmed piece of information is that the next fighter will come from Nintendo’s Arms franchise.
