But how much should studios require fans to pay for these nostalgic items? For Prime 1 Studio, the figure exceeds most of its competitors, and the Doom Eternal studio is now accepting an expensive pre order.

Excessive Nostalgia

While most video game collector’s editions cost less than $100 USD, Prime 1 Studio is offering Doom Eternal fans an unprecedented and expensive item of memorabilia. For the low price of $2,400, DOOM fans can buy a three-and-a-half foot tall replica of the DOOM Slayer. The statue weighs approximately 90 pounds and features an LED light up function on the protagonist’s helmet.

Prime 1 Studio is now accepting pre orders with an estimated shipping date between June to September of 2021. At checkout, fans are required to pay a non-refundable deposit of $240 to secure their pre order. Only time will tell how many fans purchase this expensive piece of memorabilia. While we enjoy the DOOM series, GamingROI can assure fans that none of us will be buying the Doom slayer statue.
