When Microsoft announced the sequel to Ori and the Blind Forest, fans were ecstatic. The distinctive art style combined with precise platforming and exploration made for a truly memorable experience. Surely a sequel would expound upon the elements that made the original a great game. On Friday, Ori and the Will of the Wisps released, and a fan discovered a unique comparison to a popular James Cameron film.
Two Similar Styles
In a small community group on Facebook, user Slawek Dabrowski posted a series of six comparison photos. The pictures showed an eerie similarity between James Cameron’s movie Avatar and the new Ori game. Take a look at the the comparisons images below and let us know what you think.

Although Ori and the Blind Forest is critically acclaimed, Ori and the Will of the Wisps seems to be surpassing its predecessor. While Ori does seem to borrow artistic ideas from James Cameron’s Avatar, we are in favor of this choice.
