Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch – Exclusive Offer

Exclusive offers are nothing new to the video game industry. But few video game publishers offer exclusive content for their most popular releases. Animal Crossing New Horizons on the Nintendo Switch is balking this trend in the United Kingdom. On Sunday, Nintendo Uk released a special announcement for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers who are currently playing Animal Crossing.

The Rich Get Richer

On Sunday, Nintendo UK released the following statement:

While a silk rug will not make or break a player’s island, it is an exclusive piece of content that fans should be proud to own. The design of the silk run is reminiscent of Animal Crossing New Leaf, which remains a fan favorite for the Nintendo 3DS. Only time will tell if fans flock to this “free” content and display it in their new AC homes.

While it is not unusual for Nintendo to release exclusive content, Animal Crossing Nintendo Switch seems to balk this trend. Although the Nook Inc Silk Rug will likely not drive sales, it will be interesting for fans to see how this exclusive offer drives Nintendo Switch Online membership.
